Yang-Ki CHO

School of Earth and Environmental Sciences Seoul National University Seoul, Korea

Career

Yang-Ki Cho received the B.S. degree in department of oceanography from CNU and the M.S and the Ph.D. degrees in department of oceanography from SNU. From 1996 to 2011, he was a professor in the department of Oceanography, Chonnam National University. He joined the School of Earth and Environmental Systems, Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea in 2011 and he is presently a professor. Prior to his work at SNU, he worked for two years as a visiting scientist at WHOI and visiting professor at COAS of OSU. He was a member of the Korean delegate to the 3rd JCOMM. Now he is the chief editor of the Journal of the Korean Society of Oceanography and editor of OSJ. His main research interests include coastal and estuarine processes, circulation in the marginal seas, and heat flux and circulation in tidal flat region, using field observation and numerical modeling. He is a member of AGU and a board member of the KSO.
